Live music is a regular feature together with theme nights. John Henry's was, up until recently years, the working Village Forge, used by generations of local Blacksmiths to make shoes for the many racehorses that were trained at the 3 yards in the village. One yard remains with up to 60 horses trained by Nick Gifford and formerly by his father Josh. Racing fans will find 4 courses within easy reach of Findon, these being Goodwood, Fontwell, Brighton and Plumpton.

There are a good selection of Golf courses too, 5 within a 10 mile radius.

For shooting enthusiasts there is a clay pigeon and skeet shoot withing the fold of the Downs about 1.5 miles distant.

On the surrounding Downs there are many walks with probably the best known route being the "South Downs Way" with is 1.5 to 2 miles north of Findon

The nearest town is Worthing situated on the coast 4 ile or so to the south. It has an excellent shopping centre served by good public transport which includes a mainline railway station with direct links to London Victoria and London Gatwick Airport. The airport is approcimately 40 minutes by road.

Findon, being bypassed by the main A24 road, is in a good location for easy access to the historic towns of Arundel, Lewes and surrounding areas. The city of Brighton & Hove, with it's historic lanes for shopping, the Royal Pavillion and Theatre Royal, together with Chichester & Festival Theatre all being well worth a visit.
